WWXHTML

Purpose

You want to edit XHTML files using Microsoft WinWord?

Here is another solution!

Prerequisites

WinWord 97 stand alone or from MS Office 97 SP2
Windows Scripting Host 2.0 (contained e.g. in MS Internet Explorer 5.5 for use with Windows 95 or Windows 98SE, built-into Windows 2000)
MSXML 3.0 SP1

Later WinWord versions also work. I am using this "dinosaur" now under MS Office 2016. Windows Scripting Host and MSXML is out-of-the-box since several editions of Windows.

WWXHTML Bugs seen under MS Office 2013:

Insert "Horizontal Line" leaves an invalid character "\^A".
