The UBZR1 Digital Interface receives digital signals to set the digital analog converters and switch registers. These replace the mechanical potentiometers and mechanical switches in classical synthesizers

Provisional Human User Interface (HUI)

UBZR1's Digital Interface is controlled remotely by a human user interface (HUI). For the HUI, I had built a provisional solution to test UBZR1, specifically to:

test the digital interface
test the digital to analog conversion part
test the analog modules

I came up with the following:

PC based
MS Excel & VBA as tools for a mouse based interface
Generates standard MIDI control messages
Excel standard workbook save & restore can serve as simple storage for sound patches.

While this Excel based solution was easy to build, it is not convenient to work with.
