XR2206 Based Audio Sinus Generator

Summary/Usage

This device is a simple audio frequency generator. It can be used for general purpose measurements in the electronics lab.

Functional Description

I designed for the following features:

Manual logarithmic frequency control using a 10-turn potentiometer
Manual choice between sine and triangle wave form
Manual volume and phase control
Manual DC-offset control
Input jack for logarithmic frequency modulation. This is useful to sweep the whole audio range
Input jack for amplitude modulation
50 Ω impedance output jack.

I chose the classical XR2206 analog monolithic function generator. I did not use the rectangular wave capability, because I got another device covering that.

Performance Specs

Frequency from 10 Hz to 100 KHz
Output maximum Voltage 10 V peak-to-peak at no load.
